I was the lead developer for the re-branding of Recorded Future undertaken during my time at DEPT® agency.
Recorded Future are a global cybersecurity, and real-time threat intelligence division, that came to us to design, develop, and deliver a complete re-branding effort to further solidify their position as a leading security intelligence company.
There is an enormous amount of information, and data points under Recorded Future's wing, and they have a reach that extends into media, and podcasting, so the challenge came from pulling all these data points into a unified taxonomy, that could be easy enough for content editors to manage, and for users of the application to effortlessly navigate between.
However, the main guideline that we set ourselves was to make it as visually interesting as possible - including big, bold typography, subtle animations, and intuitive interactivity.
The application was built using Next.js, Tailwind CSS, Framer Motion, Strapi, and Algolia.
